Ko tÄ Te Rau Tauawhi he manaaki i te tauira kia puta te ihu, kia angitu.

Te Rau Tauawhi gives manaakitanga, support and advice to MÄori students at Massey. We are part of the Ä€konga MÄori Student Success Support Collective Strategy to help our Äkonga MÄori realise their academic and all round potential.

Te Rau Tauawhi was founded on tikanga MÄori principles of whÄnau, manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and mÄtauranga. We offer a wide range of ako (learning) services to help you get the most out of your university experience, including:

  • general learning support and advice
  • help with course planning
  • mentoring
  • writing workshops
  • postgraduate workshops on writing literature reviews and research proposals.

You’ll also find study and course information on our Stream page. Stream is Massey’s online learning community. All students get access to it when they enrol.

Te Rau Tauawhi is part of a bigger group of initiatives that support MÄori student success such as Te Rau Angitu, Te Rau Puawai, Te Wheke a Toi, Literacy Support and Kaitautoko MÄori in the Colleges.
