Project Title: Adapting Aging Communities: Feasibility of Retrofitting Residential Environments for Elderly-Friendly Living in New Zealand

This study systematically reviews international best practices from countries like the USA., China, and Singapore and assesses their feasibility in the New Zealand context. Using a mixed-methods approach, including digital simulations and 3D modelling, the research aims to provide practical strategies for integrating long-term care services and improving housing conditions for the elderly. The findings will support future retrofitting initiatives, ensuring safer, more comfortable, and sustainable living spaces for New Zealand’s aging population.
