Dr  Kuen is passionate about teaching finance to her undergraduate and postgraduate students.  She was awarded the 2024 School of Economics and Finance Excellence in Teaching Award.  Prior to academia, Kuen worked for the Colonial Bank, Fiji.  Her research has been published in internationally recognized journals such as  International Review of Economics and Finance, Finance Research Letters.  She reviewed for Accounting and Finance and awarded competitive research grants as SIRCA. Kuen is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.  She is the elected Manawatu Pacific staff representative on the Pacific Staff Network  and serves on various University/Industry Committees.
